2 Tbsp Beeswax: This will give your balm structure and a smooth application.
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil: It's hydrating and has a pleasant scent.
1 Tbsp Shea Butter: For added moisture and softness.
1/2 tsp Alkanet Root Powder: This will provide the tint. Adjust the amount for desired color intensity.
10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil: For a refreshing scent and a slight plumping effect.
5 drops Vitamin E Oil: An antioxidant that also acts as a natural preservative.
In a double boiler, melt the Beeswax, Coconut Oil, and Shea Butter together.
Once melted, remove from heat and add the Alkanet Root Powder. Mix well to distribute evenly.
Stir in the Peppermint Essential Oil and Vitamin E Oil.
Pour the mixture into lip balm tubes or small containers.
Allow to cool completely before capping the containers.
This recipe will yield several tubes of lip balm, so you can keep one in every bag or share them with friends. The Peppermint Essential Oil adds a refreshing scent and a tingly sensation, which can make your lips feel fuller.
The Alkanet Root Powder provides a natural tint, and you can adjust the shade by adding more or less powder.
